On receipt by the laboratory the donations are processed in sterile conditions in laminar airflow cabinets, located in a HEPA filtered clean room, into products appropriate for transplantation. The clean room is built to Good Manufacturing Practice standards. Personal protective clothing such as sterile polyester coats, clogs, hats and sterile gloves are worn at all times when working in the clean room.

The stem cell preparations and related products may be infused immediately or cryopreserved for later use.
