Current EQA programmed by UK NIQAS A hot spot mutation (L265P (CTG > CCG)) in MYD88 gene exists in >90% of lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL) and at a much less frequency in some other lymphomas. This molecular biology test detects this mutation at DNA level, with a limit of detection of 1% alleles.
Sample requirements:
sent at ambient temperature to the MCCN HODS within 48 hours of sampling
If sample cannot be sent immediately after bleeding, keep in 4 degree fridge and send as soon as possible.
