New male progesterone reference interval 01/05/21, results unaffected.
To assess ovulation, samples for progesterone should be collected on day 21, or 7 days before end of cycle (7 days before expected bleed). Consider sequential sampling if cycle length unpredictable. Values range from 16 to 28 nmol/L as the lowest level indicative of ovulation. (NICE CG156/2013)
