Investigations | Viral Gastroenteritis Viruses are a common cause of gastrointestinal infection which may result in vomiting and diarrhoea. Outbreaks can occur easily, particularly in semi-closed environments such as hospitals, schools and nurseries. The viral gastroenteritis PCR detects adenovirus, astrovirus, rotavirus type A and sapovirus. The assay issued in conjunction with the norovirus PCR to cover the most common agents of viral gastroenteritis. Molecular Tests Viral Gastroenteritis PCR |
